OKW is proud to present its first art exhibition “Terugkerend Licht” or in English “Returning Light” by Alicja Domańska (www.alicjadomanska.pl) at our office on Piękna 19. This exhibition at the same time marks the belated inauguration of our new premises.
At OKW, we try to think out of the box and we believe that this first exhibition is a perfect example of this. There has always been art in our office, but the way we have now put the beautiful walls at this historic address to use is different.
Inviting artists to exhibit their works and inviting our co-workers, clients and friends to come together for an opening with a good glass of wine and whiskey from Dobre Wino (www.dobrewino.pl) creates a better atmosphere to get to know each other and to build the trust for good cooperation.
The art also make OKW a better place to work. The feedback that we got from our co-workers is amazing.
We are very proud that our first artist to exhibit here is Alicja Domańska. Alicja is a well-respected painter, sculptor and interior designer, who lives and works in Sopot. She was educated at the Gdańsk Art Academy and has exhibited across Poland and abroad. Her work is sensual and expressive, but more importantly it passes my simple art test: “Would I like this painting in my living room, would I like it to be the first thing I lay eyes on when I come home?”.
Alicja’s paintings definitely pass this test. We put our work to a similar test: “Does it add value to our client?”. That means that we try to become part of our client’s team, and that we try to keep our client’s business goals in our minds. Getting the deal done rather than killing it is what guides us.
We invite you to have a look at the paintings, photos from the opening and this brief introductory video (YouTube) on our website. Of course, if you would like to see the paintings in real life, please feel free to call our office at (+48) 22 481 60 80; and if you are interested in buying, contact Adriaan van den Berg at email@example.com .
We look forward to our next exhibition.
